FIAMMA - FLAME
Exquisite Italian Luxury.
Red, Yellow and Black Marbled Resin with Gold Trim.
Partenope, a clear reference to the Neapolitan genius in combining fountain pen and roller in a single solution with a new cartridge refill and converter system. The clip is made from an ancient goldsmith process called "lost wax". The real placed on the hood depicts the great beauty of the Gulf of Naples. Finally, the head obtained with the 3D technique is enamelled. The result? A classic-modern silhouette without forgetting the Made in Italy.
The resin of the Gioia Fiamma was inspired by the Lampadedromia Neapolitana Half Marathon, the oldest sporting event in the shadow of Vesuvius (5th BC). It was a relay race with torches and took place in honour of the mythological mermaid Partenope. After centuries, it was finally revived in 2016. Nowadays, it starts at the acropolis of Cumae (the first ancient Greek colony on the mainland of Italy, founded in 8th BC) and ends in front of the Castel dell'Ovo, where - according to tradition and mythology - the mermaid Partenope died.
The Gioia Special Edition Partenope Fiamma fountain pen is a non-numbered, special edition. (In contrast to the other members of the Gioia Partenope line, the Gioia LE Partenope Fiamma does NOT display the “Tricolore” (the Italian flag) on the barrel of the pen. This design change means the Fiamma is a special model within the Partenope line.
Partenope can be used with a converter or with cartridges AND can be converted to a ballpoint pen, with the included extra section. Using a Parker-style Gel refill, the pen becomes a rollerball.
