Australian Roses is a dark magenta red and s partially bulletproof. This ink exhibits a halo on certain papers as well as darker shading on the edges of lines. It is 16% bulletproof and made of dyes with multiple properties for a variety of tones under various light. Partially water-resistant and fully forgery-resistant.
Black Swan in Australian Roses is a burgundy ink - Similar to Black Swan in English Roses but with pink undertones.
The two-part name is suggestive of the two-tones shading properties. The darker tones, where the ink characteristically pools whilst writing with fountain pen ink, represent the 'black swan' and the lighter tones of plummy pink represent the 'Australian roses'.
This ink is designed to go well with flexible nibs, such as in the Noodler's Ahab, where the flexible nature of the writing will show off the two-toned abilities of the ink.
