This ink is part of the V-Mail Series. Noodler's ink was able to obtain some viable vintage inks with extremely patriotic labels. Many referenced the term V-mail which seems to have begun in WW I. These were dated from 1939 to 1945 and of course, began in earnest after Dec. 7th 1941 with the patriotic WW II themes.
North African Violet is a rich violet ink. Partially Waterproof in a 87ml bottle. V-mail Ink series, named after Victory Mail, the hybrid mail process used during World War 2 in America as the primary secure method of correspondence with soldiers. This ink series aims to replicate the traditional vintage ink characteristics. Named 'North African Violet' because the United States began direct military assistance with North Africa soon after they entered the war in 1941.
