The paper is 100 gsm, lined and is a cream/ivory shade. The pages are stitched together right through the length of the notebook - unusual for this price range.

We would term this paper as being fountain pen-friendly since there is no bleed-through to the other side of the page. True Fountain Pen Officianados would slightly disagree since there is a slight show-through, very slight, hardly noticeable and most writers would be more than happy with the ink absorption. Once you have written on the reverse page, the hardly-negligible writing from the previous page becomes almost imperceptible. Writing using a ballpen or rollerball or fountain pen has the same slight show-through but no bleed-through.

Using a fountain pen on this paper creates a better result than using Moleskine, perhaps not quite as good as Rhodia, but the price difference is substantial, and most users will be delighted.
