Introducing a piece of history intertwined with craftsmanship: Ludwig Brenner, a visionary who arrived in London from Pforzheim, Germany, before the First World War. He set up his business in Charterhouse Street, near Hatton Garden, the epicenter of London's jewelry trade. It was here that he registered his patent for an enhanced propelling pencil mechanism, building upon the groundwork laid by Sampson Mordan. Brenner's innovation allowed the pencil to accommodate 12 three-inch leads, effectively creating a "yard of lead" length. This groundbreaking invention led to the establishment of The Yard-O-Led Pencil Company.

From this pivotal moment, a legacy of fine writing instruments was born. Yard-O-Led's commitment to excellence and innovation continues to resonate through each meticulously crafted pen, preserving the rich heritage of traditional craftsmanship.

This pen is in excellent condition and is extremely rare. It comes presented in a beautiful hard box with a satin-covered inner. Included is a jewellery-care polish cloth (unused) and the original warranty booklet and instruction booklet. Serial Number 055.
