Van Dieman's Underwater collection, the 7th series from Van Dieman's Ink, is an imaginative and innovative selection of sixteen shimmering inks for fountain pens.

This Van Dieman's Underwater Fountain Pen Ink series takes inspiration from the beauty and mystery of the ocean, including its flora and fauna. The Bioluminescence ink in this series is a tribute to the stunning blue-glowing algae in Tasmania.

It appears as a rich, dark blue on most papers, but it's the red sheen that truly steals the show. The ink's saturation, under hue, sheen, and shimmer creates a multi-layered effect that mimics the appearance of the ocean's blue glow and red light reflection at dusk.

This ink is a 30ml bottle of High Saturation Dye Based Shimmer Ink with a deep blue-black colour and a potent black sheen.

It dries quickly, in about 90 seconds, when used with a medium nib on Rhodia paper and has a smooth flow. It's suitable for use with dip pens, brushwork, and all fountain pens. Just remember to shake the bottle before use and exercise caution and perform regular maintenance when using it in a fountain pen, as it's a high-saturation ink with particulate matter.
