Product Info
Retro51 is delighted to introduce the Rhinelander Pitcher Rollerball Pen to The Metropolitan Museum of Art's officially licensed pen collection.
Introducing the officially licensed fine writing instruments from The Metropolitan Museum of Art, brought to you by Retro 51. Each Tornado rollerball pen and pencil is inspired by artwork from this renowned museum. Packaged in a commemorative tube, every instrument comes with a foldout print providing detailed information about the design, artwork, and artist. While these are not limited editions, each piece features an engraved serial number on the top ring. These stunning designs are essential for any art enthusiast.
This exquisite pen draws inspiration from the detailed craftsmanship of a fine silver pitcher created in 1874 or 1875 by Tiffany & Co., under the guidance of Edward C. Moore. Moore directed the creation of a wide variety of uniquely intricate silver pieces. This particular pitcher, embodying the company's engagement with Near Eastern and Indian art, was gifted by Julia Rhinelander to her niece Mary in 1883 as a wedding present.
